Brouhaha
The Quintessentially Quirky Quartet
How this Brouhaha got started
Clay, Dave, Kirk, and Tim started singing together in the fall of 2019 with one very simple goal – to create some brouhaha by showing people how much fun it is to sing barbershop. Unfortunately, because of the lack of brouhaha in the world since then, we haven’t had much chance yet to do that…but we did create our own little brouhaha over that time by getting together, rehearsing, and having a bunch of fun singing barbershop. We had so much fun that we decided we needed a name that reflected what we enjoyed through barbershop…and after using the word “brouhaha” for 2 years, it seemed like a natural thing for the four of us to keep Brouhaha going!
We’ve all heard the expression “…and the rest is history…”, which in no way applies to Brouhaha, because none of the rest has happened yet. This Brouhaha is just getting started!
ReRouted got its start as Route 33 when Tim, Doug and Keith travelled down Route 33 to Athens, Ohio from Columbus, Ohio to meet their Lead who was traveling up Route 33 to Athens from Charleston, WV for rehearsals. When that Lead had to step away from the quartet, their next Lead lived closer to Columbus so they "ReRouted" their rehearsals to Tim's office in Columbus and decided to change their name to that. When their second Lead had to step away, they found another Lead and once again "ReRouted" their rehearsals back to Athens because Don lives in Gallipolis! ReRouted recently competed in the Barbershop Harmony Society's International Seniors Quartet Championship in Daytona Beach, Florida and finished Sixth Place in the World!
For more than 20 years, BUCKEYE BLEND QUARTET has entertained OSU presidents, coaches and spirited Buckeye fans at tailgate shows and celebrations throughout Ohio, and even in one foreign country (just above the state line up North). Our mission is to enhance the expectancy of victory and crush any thoughts of defeat through song, smiles and laughter. GO BUCKS!!
